Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) vs. Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR)

An industrial Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV), is a portable robot that follows along marked routes on the floor. Meanwhile, an industrial Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) is a portable robot that moves/navigates through maps built by its software or pre-loaded drawings. Both designs are featured with obstacle detection and avoidance capability. They are most frequently used in industrial applications to transport parts or heavy materials from one place to another place.
